External
The cottage is set within 5 acres of pasture and mature grounds of Penbigwrn,
so there is plenty of space for a moment or two of madness!
The french doors open out onto the patio and enclosed garden where you can
sit and look south across the rolling patchwork landscape of farmsteads and
woodlands to the estuary and sea at Laugharne. Dylan Thomas made his home
here and Richard Hughes wrote "A High Wind in Jamaica". The Township's
wellpreserved Norman castle is the venue for summer plays each year,
and there are several excellent restaurants including Hurst House and The
Cors.
Looking north from the property the Preseli Hills dominate a landscape of steep woooded valleys with heather and gorsetopped hills. On long walks it is common to come across earthworks and standing stones left by the Celts, but few people.
